Watch the music video"Hope(less?)" moves between extremes: heavy breakdowns and modern electronic layers give way to raw, anthemic choruses that feel like a collective exhale. The track captures the tension between creative conviction and the pressure of being dismissed, mapping that conflict in sound: aggressive verses that tighten like a vice, releasing into melodic passages that hold their ground without softening the blow.
Lyrically, the song is a tribute to underground artists who continue to create at a high level while remaining unseen. It sits with the discomfort of that position - the frustration, the doubt, the near-indifference to outside opinion - while refusing to let go of what keeps the work moving forward. As the lyrics put it:
"We are the ones that pray to foreign gods...Cause if there is nothing left, then we still at least have hope."Tha band says:
Hope(less?) is rooted in that constant internal conflict between believing in what you do and feeling like it might never be enough. It's about dedicating years of your life to something that others see as unrealistic, and reaching a place where you almost become indifferent to their doubts, yet still feel the weight of needing to prove them wrong. The signing to Out Of Line Music, home to
Till Lindemann, Abbie Falls, ten56 and many other high-profile names of the scene, arrives at a strong moment for the band. Serpents PL spent 2024 on a 23-date
European run supporting Ektomorf, and in early 2026
opened for Keith Caputo in Poland. This summer, the band will
appear at Summer Breeze Open Air in Germany, one of Europe's leading metal festivals.
About Serpents PLSerpents PL are a five-piece from Szczecin, Poland, formed at the close of 2023. Working at the intersection of modern metalcore and alternative metal with a gritty electronic lens, the band built their catalogue through six singles - "Tangled," "Self-made Suffering," "Hourglass," "The Void," "Walking Disaster," and "The Signal" - before signing to Out Of Line Music. Their live reputation was cemented early: the band toured Poland alongside The Materia before taking on a 23-date European run with Ektomorf in 2024. "Hope(less?)" is their first release through Out Of Line Music and the first single from their forthcoming debut album.
